You are entitled to compensation for flight delay under the following conditions:<\/span><\/h3>\n

  1. Your flight had a delay of over 3 hours.\n

    • The flight delay is deemed to be the difference between the scheduled and actual landing of the plane at the destination airport. In the case of major connecting flights, the destination airport is the destination of the journey.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
    • The flight took place from or to a European Union country with a European carrier.\n
        \n
      • The European carrier is an airline based in the European Union.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
      • The flight delay was the result of a fault committed by the airline.\n
          \n
        • Only passengers whose flights have been delayed due to an airline’s fault are entitled to compensation. The fault includes technical issues and strikes of airline staff. This condition does not cover flights that have been delayed due to any external circumstances; bad weather, airport decision, illness or political crisis.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
        • No more than 3 years have passed since the respective flight.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

              1. Compensation from \u20ac250 to \u20ac600\n

                • Compensation is calculated based on the duration of the flight delay and the flight distance.

                  \u00a0 Up to 1,500km<\/span><\/td>\n\u00a0 \u20ac250<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
                  \u00a0 EU flights longer than 3,500km<\/span><\/td>\n\u00a0 \u20ac400<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
                  \u00a0 Between 1,500km and 3,500km<\/span><\/td>\n\u00a0 \u20ac400<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
                  \u00a0 Flights outside the EU longer than 3,500km (the delay must be over 4 hours)<\/span><\/td>\n\u00a0 \u20ac600<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
                • Alternative transportation to the final destination\n
                    \n
                  • Alternative transport includes a flight to somewhere nearby as well as the destination airport, if necessary.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
                  • Refreshments and drinks\n
                      \n
                    • Depending on the time of the delay, the passenger is entitled to a meal. If the delay takes place at midday, the passenger is entitled to lunch, otherwise a light meal. If the airline fails to provide this service to the passenger, the passenger can claim a refund by submitting an invoice.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
                    • Two phone calls<\/span>\n
                        \n
                      • In case of a delay, the passenger is entitled to two phone calls, e-mails or faxes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
                      • Accommodation<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
                          \n
                        • \n
                            \n
                          • If the flight is delayed overnight, passengers are entitled to free accommodation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
